UNL Big Event: April 15, 2023

Students will spend three hours volunteering from 12:30 to 3:30PM

What is The Big Event?

The Big Event, a national organization started at Texas A&M in 1982, aims to give back to local communities through one large day of service. At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, more than 3,000 students, faculty, and staff are expected to volunteer and give thanks to Lincoln this spring as part of The Big Event. The organization is entirely student-run and funded by donations from the community. for more infor about the Big Event Click Here

Neighborhood Cleanup: May 6th 2023
    

Location: M Street 48th, 49th, north side or Hawthorne School. Roll off dumpsters will be available for trash, NO Household waste, brush, and we will recycle tires, metal, appliances etc.

Come and volunteer a couple hours and have a blast with neighbors. It will be similar as it was in past years [More info here ...]

Neighborhood Wide Garage Sales 2023:

June 8th through 10th

Witherbee NA is organizing neighborhood wide garage sale events. If you would like to help please contact The chairperson below by phone or email.

If you choose to participate there is a small fee to be included in the avertising for the event. Lists of all participants will be published on our web site along with a map of all participants. We will publicize the event in the Newspaper, Facebook, Web Site, Radio, TV, Craigs list and so on.

Spring 2023 Garage Sales: Dates is the second weekend in June as we have done in the past. We are planning on having Goodwill stop by to pick up leftover items you like to donate. Please let us know if you want to be on the list for that. They will take clean old clothing and fabrics in any condition for recycling, books, usable funiture and more.
